ICY roads caused two crashes on slippery hills.

A silver Porsche Boxster came off the road at the foot of steep Succombs Hill on Saturday evening, and damaged a roadside barrier.

A neighbour said: "Council contractors only repaired the barrier last week after a similar accident last Christmas.

"So to see it knocked for six once again is rather annoying."

Only last month a van overturned on the hill.

Paul Lemmer, who lives in nearby Stuart Road, said on Monday: "Succombs Hill is still covered in snow with just a tyre track down the middle.

"It's such a dangerous road but it appears that it has not been gritted.

"Very little traffic is going up and down it."

Similarly-steep Gangers Hill in Woldingham was the scene of a crash at around 10am on Sunday.

A Mazda slid off the road and into a ditch.

The vehicle was hauled free by nearby landowners before Godstone firefighters arrived on the scene.
