Redhill apply for promotion

Redhill are among many clubs to have applied for promotion to the Ryman League.

According to the league's website, Redhill's Sussex League rivals Whitehawk and Chichester have also applied for promotion to Step 4.

Promotion will depend on any ground grading requirements being met by March 31, as well as teams finishing high enough in their divisions to be considered.

In the case of the Sussex League, a top three finish would be needed, but only one team will be promoted.

Redhill lie fourth in their league, which is led by Whitehawk, with Chichester sitting second.

The league's website does not state which of the clubs, if any, have the ground grading requirements necessary to gain promotion at present and which ones have work to do and face in inspection.
