Saucy snapper attracts would-be subjects from around the globe

DEWY-EYED brides in pretty white dresses could not be further from the photographs Angelica Felis specialises in today.

The former wedding photographer deals with couples tying a wholly different kind of knot – and has just released a book of her work.

"I tell people outright that I'm a fetish photographer," Angelica said.

"It's really funny to see people's reactions. If I don't tell them then it seems as though I am not proud of it, but I am. I have the best job in the world."

The 43-year-old has published her first book, Sense and Sensuality – produced here in Surrey and filled with saucy snaps of people from across the country.

She said: "I photograph real people not models – they see it as a way to express themselves in a safe environment.

"I'm contacted by many mature women – they tell me they're not getting any younger and they want to capture themselves in a photo, while some single women just want a confidence boost."

Angelica's studio, based in Horley, provides the dungeon style backdrop for her work.

Angelica, who has won awards for her work, says she is contacted by customers from all over the world including America, Spain, Holland and France to get their photo taken by her.

Angelica has worked as a photographer for 15 years, working at weddings before changing track seven years ago.

She has been based in Smallmead House, Horley, for nearly five years.

"I was born to push the boundaries of art, but I do understand what I do is not going to be everyone's cup of tea," says Angelica.

"I don't want to rub people's noses in it, what I'm saying is this is the type of lifestyle some people lead and that should be celebrated."
