The Division Three strugglers offered little in attack and were put to the sword by a Wanderers outfit who could, and perhaps should have scored more than five.
Results went the home side's way as well and victory leaves them just three points off second spot.
They got off to a perfect start when Matty Evans bagged his third goal from the club, heading home a Shane Jones corner.
Wanderers had to wait until the 35th minute to double their advantage, despite a prolonged spell of possession and chances.
Craig Duffell got it when he brought the ball down and half-volleyed home from the edge of the area.
The hosts were finding it difficult to break their opponents down as they sat deep in an attempt to keep the scores down, but Lee Smith notched the third goal soon after the restart.
Then came the goal of the game.
New signing Tom Davis, who left Blue Square South side Dover Athletic in January, got it.
He had shown his superior class throughout the contest and he put his stamp on the match with a glorious strike from fully 30 yards with 15 minutes left to play.
There was still time for substitute Ollie Wassell to get his name on the scoresheet when he headed home a corner in the 85th minute.
Manager Marc White was delighted with the performance.
He said: "We were expecting a win, but it could have been a bit of a banana skin because the last three or four games they've had a couple of good results, so there was a bit of trepidation, but it was probably our best footballing display of the season.
"It could have been more than five, they only had one shot on target in the whole game, but to their credit they battled really well."
Wanderers face another team battling relegation on Saturday when they welcome Hurstpierpoint to West Humble and White knows his side need to win.
He added: "We are not taking it for granted, but it's another good opportunity to get three points on the board.
"There's still a long way to go in the league, but every week teams are turning each other over, so there's a lot to play for."
