“ What a fantastic restaurant - the food and service is second to none! Having eaten at most of the top London restaurants, such as Gordon Ramsay, Gary Rhodes etc, I was desperate to find a local Surrey restaurant that offered that high level of food, but at local affordable prices. I have driven past Drakes on the Pond numerous times and had no idea that this was exactly the place that I'd desperately been looking for for years! The food was cooked and presented with absolute perfection and equally to the same standard (if not better) than some of the highly acclaimed London restaurants. I had no idea that this was a Michelen starred restaurant as apparently they are unable to advertise this fact. Of course the prices are slightly higher than your average Steak House, but I would rather come to Drakes on the Pond and eat 2 courses with a glass of wine, than eat the sub-standard and tasteless food that seems to be the standard at most local restaurants. I want to eat something that's been freshly prepared and cooked that day, by a fully trained chef. All in all this restaurant is an absolute pleasure and I can't wait to go back again. I hope other people try Drakes on the Pond (not to be confused with Drakes in Ripley) and give them the rave review that they truly deserve. ”
