FIRST YEAR: Nicola Robertson
Shane Degaris, the trust's deputy chief executive, said: "Every day, our doctors, nurses and other members of staff work incredibly hard to give our patients the best care possible, and a lot of that hard work is done behind the scenes."
The trainee surgeons it follows are Rose Johns, Andy Al Rais and Nicola Robertson (pictured) as they begin their first year in surgical training at the trust.
The first episode shows the surgeons taking part in their first operations, tackling the problems of a busy operating theatre.
